On a clear dayby jjbeguinComment: That's a bizarre image. It's also very effective. Great positioning of the figure, and a fine parody of the leading lines theme. Love it. 8 |

Summer Marsh, Evening Ebbby Bear_MusicComment: This is a beautiful, harmonious composition. I particularly like the effortless use of the leading lines ... the effect is subtle yet compelling at the same time. The mid-ground water looks a tiny bit over sharpened. 8 |

Proud as a.....by inspir8tionComment: Obvious, but very effective for all that (mine was obvious too, but perhaps less effective). As well as the terrific leading lines, it's a very fine photograph of the bird. 7 |

Enlightenmentby nico_blueComment: This is a particularly creative satisfaction of the challenge theme, because in this case the leading lines are both literal and figurative. That's clever & gives the image another dimension of interest and meaning. I think the sharpening or neatimage might be a tiny bit overdone. 8 |

The Approachby tsheetsComment: I've always loved these rail or road convergence shots. And this is a very good one. Great use of leading lines, particularly with the sparkling highlights on the rails. Also like the three headlights. 7 |

Dreams of Isisby fulgentComment: A beautiful & highly artistic image with a timeless quality that makes the title so apposite. I guess the lovely (and indeed dream-like) lines are created by some sort of pleated fabric? Whatever, it's an impressive yet effortless satisfaction of the challenge theme. 8 |

Road to the Tetons by postoakinversionComment: This is a genuinely beautiful image, stylishly composed and executed with care and skill. Many superficially effective photographs lose their appeal after a while, but this is not one of those ... I think you'll still be proud of this harmonious work decades from now. I know I would be. 9. |

The Journeyman by muur88Comment: A high impact image. Shows the rest of us just how dramatic the leading lines of everyday objects can be when properly incorporated into a meticulously composed photograph. 9 |

The Choosen Oneby roadrunnerComment: This is very effective use of leading lines on a couple of levels. First there's the beams of sunlight, of course. But there's also the near mirror-image of the hill and the clouds, which also work together to concentrate the viewer's attention on the same central area. I also like the fact that you're confident enough to know when to put aside the rule of thirds & go for a symmetrical composition, which is just right for this image. 9 |

Out of the shadowby pmottaComment: Lovely image. Some will quibble about the overblown highlights in front of the girl, and others about the intrusive tree branch, but it's nevertheless a very effective interpretation of the challenge topic. 7 |
