These recent still life studies of yours are jewels. Beacons of thoughtfulness and of real rather than simulated photographic craftsmanship (can't bring myself to write 'craftspersonship'). It's that rare quality that has always distinguished your work for me; the combination of your imagination and sense of humor on the one hand, and on the other your deep reverence for the craft of photography . My kind of madness! As well as your lovely occupational juxta, I enjoyed all those squares from the windows/doorway, poster, awning, etc. And of course one shadowy dude gliding through the shot like a slippery echo. Thank you.

Re the juxta, a friend in Adelaide, South Australia owned a gourmet food catering business, located between an undertaker and a brothel gentleman's club. She wanted to make her slogan, "Eat, f@#k and die happy".
