What a beautiful sight! Looks like a postcard - that's a compliment. ;^) Great color, well composed. It's a bit centered but has to be in this case - you've picked up the entire reflection of the mountains in the lake. Would have lost some punch if you cropped/composed with any of the bottom missing. Almost expect to see a moose standing along the edge of the lake somewhere. Very nice.

Aptly titled. Nice subject to photograph. You've done well with the composition, exposure, and post-processing. Looks like a fun subject to investigate from different angles, close-ups, etc... yet. ;^)

This is fun to look at. Simple colors and subject. Composed well as an image. I'm not sure I get your take on the rule of thirds for this. The stairs lead me more to a sense of leading lines - there isn't a subject or focal point of interest that stops me in this photo. Don't get me wrong, I like the photo overall. Good luck in the challenge.

Well composed. Good use of thirds on the fishermen. Bridge works well at leading the viewer thru the image. Good choice of color treatment...natural color would have been overwhelming with the green trees - as you've done, the focus easily goes to the fishermen. Nice. Good luck on the challenge.

Those darn power lines get in the way! JK. ;^) This shot does a good job of taking the viewer thru the image. I like the color treatment on the sky. You're brave to take on this type of subject...it's hard to avoid jaggies on resize to 640 with all the lines.

Smile and keep having fun!

Nice shot Skip. Noisy at the office - eh? ;^) I like how there is a natural line formed from the front of the car, thru the pit crew guys on the track, up to the Goodwrench flag in the corner. The track lighting brings in a parallel line from the top. I'm not really sure what type of perspective you were going for here but I like it anyway. He-he.

Very well done. Nice job of exposing this challenging composition. At first I was going to suggest a minor crop to lose what appears to be shoreline at the bottom of the image - on second thought it gives the viewer a feel of being there. Take care, and keep having fun!

I like this image. From where I sit the primary subject looks to be the domed structure at the base of the mountains. The mountains would be second. The geese flying thru aren't (IMO) a primary part of the image, yet your title suggests that you intend them to be? Personally, I'm not thinking that the geese factor in at all for the rule of thirds. The domed structure sits on an intersecting thirds point (as it should, again IMO). The grassy plains in front take up the bottom third of the image so that works. The blue looks a little over-saturated - yes/no? Mostly evident to me in the far right hillside. Is that dust on your sensor causing the dark spots in the sky (bummer if it is - I'm assuming they are and disregarded it for scoring).

Overall this image has a nice feel to it. Nice capture. Good luck in the challenge.

Looks like the salmon are running early at Lake Michigan? Just guessing...

Nice shot. Not sure about the rule of thirds being applied...seems a bit centered (the focal points). If you trimmed a bit off the bottom maybe? Anyway, good luck in the challenge.
