I think this was composed just right...wouldn't have changed a thing. Well, on second look maybe crop a bit more off the top & right to move the bird into a rule of thirds grid location more. Really like the use of diagonal lines here. Great idea and overall well done!

Bummer. Thought for sure you were a top ten with this one. It's funny though, I keep running into your images and saying to myself - "I like this"! Guess there's a reason I added you to my favorites a while back! ;^)

This is great! I love your take on the challenge theme. I don't know if you rotated on purpose to lose something in the image upper left, or if you did it intentionally to add a unique feel to the photo. Either way it works. B/W is the best choice here as the green in the background trees would have been distracting. Very nice. Good luck in the challenge.

Hey-hey! Well, let me be the 20th person (yes I counted) to congratulate you on your ribbon! Way to go and all that. It was only a matter of time. Speaking of time, 5:00 in the morning and I'm late to your party! ;^)

This is a nice composition. The soft natural lighting works well. Is this some sort of shop or store? If not, a runner in the window could have helped a bit to cover the cord coming up thru the wood on the left. Looks like an interesting neighborhood. ;^)

I really like this composition. The use of a tilted image is cool and the leading lines work well. Can't tell if the sky is natural or if you burned it. If you worked the clouds over any I certainly can't see it - so, either you've got the post-processing down pat - or you have a wonderful sky to include with this capture! ;^)

DOF and exposure on this is also terrific. Great job!

This looks like a practice run for the Complementary Colors challenge. If not it could be. ;^) I love the simple colors with Orange, Black, and Purple. The composition is nice with the distribution of color being fairly even into thirds. Exposure is good as you've captured the lighting of this scene very well. The shadows from trees over the water at the far left give the image an appearance of being slightly off - like it needs a CW rotation of 1 or 2 degrees. Overall, very nice. Great job of seeing this and capturing it.

This is a creative take on the challenge theme - one that comes naturally to mind, and you certainly can't be accused of not meeting the challenge. ;^) In general I like the composition. The first diagonal (from bottom left) leaf is distracting. I get the impression that including the sun was intentional in your composition. It's a good idea - but this lighting is challenging and personally I think it's overexposed. A faster shutter speed, tighter aperture, or some filters could have helped tone it down a bit. If your camera has exposure compensation that could have been considered by setting it to say -2.0. One last consideration, did you think about exposing to create a silhouette? With the plant patterns it might have been rather unique (minus that diagonal leaf of course - ). Good luck in the challenge.

I think you had a good concept here with the naturally framed "Window" to the sky. I'm not comfortable with the post-processing applied and the hue color shift. It's interesting, but to me not an overwhelming "cool - way to go" kind of thing. Others may like it... Looks like you had a nice natural sky with good cloud formations to work with - could have looked nice left natural. Good luck in the challenge.

I really like how you've framed the subject and the use of silhouettes in this image. The contrast with the wonderful blue and white sky works great! I'm having a hard time finding anything that would fall under 'constructive criticism' on this one. ;^) Good luck in the challenge.

I get your take on this...the dog doesn't want to come down the sand dune again. It's a fun idea and put together ok. Couple of things that work against this photo is the first impression - the first thing I noticed as it was loading was a fuzzy OOF dog. That's because I had to scroll down to see the bottom third of the image. After seeing the whole pic I understand...I'm just saying what popped into my mind at first. I think something that could have helped sell this is some dog tracks in the sand, especially in the vicinity where the focus is sharp (bottom third of image). As it is, the strongest part of this image (the sand) doesn't hold the viewers interest for long. Creative ideas like this will work for you in the future...maybe it will this time and I'm just being too picky. ;^) Good luck in the challenge.
