Please come back!by TonyTComment: Uh-oh...I imagine that chair is becoming an unfortunate subject in the 'subjectless' challenge. That's where my eyes want to rest quite comfortably. :( Very clever idea, and an interesting play on the challenge description. Nice looking setup BTW. ;^) Good luck. |

Saturday Afternoonby aimeethetooComment: Neat looking place. Tough environment for getting a properly exposed image. I like the sun rays that you've captured. Minor bummer about the hot spots in the foreground. The green foliage in the middleground is quite vibrant. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

End of the Dayby ShannonLeeComment: Where is everybody? ;^) This is a good take for the challenge. I think it's interesting how there is a color theme going on here also, and most likely quite unintentional. Too bad you couldn't shoo that seagull and person out of there. ;^) Overall, very nice. Good luck in the challenge. |

THE ESCAPEby ShermyComment: This is cute (I think) and well put together as far as image details/technicals go. I'm not sure I like the message with a young girl being bound in rope, but that's just me. You'll probably do well with this as the image does hold the viewers interest long enough to get a good look, and as stated before, the technicals are very good. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

Contradictionby whiteflyerComment: What's the 'Contradiction'? Were they still hanging people in 1998? It's a clever image I presume, but without the connection between the noose and the human rights act the image loses some punch. Exposure and technicals are fine for the most part and I like the way you've framed the text with the noose. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

Rope Swingby skennonComment: I get the point but a couple of things are pulling this down IMO. The rope you've focused on isn't the swing part - should have tried to focus on the actual swing seat with all that rope hanging down (after all, your title does say Swing ;-) While this is a fun idea, the subject is getting lost in the busy background (trees, sky). You also seem to be blown out in the highlights. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

Diamond Stringsby wcjyaoComment: Why is this titled 'Diamond Strings'? Considering that this is a 'Rope' challenge that might have been a mistake...nonetheless, on the serious side - what's the connection? Is it the knots used or something?
As for the image itself I like the way you've put it together. The layout is divided in a ROT manner, the lighting is good with focus hitting the sweet spot of the rope/cord/string, and the DOF fadeout at the bottom works well.
Good luck in the challenge. |

Learning to Jump Ropeby mattforbesComment: Good idea - creative take on the challenge. If this image wasn't so underexposed it would have a good shot of rising to the top 30% or so in the challenge. Good luck. |

Mooredby GermaineComment: It's ok. Lighting is on the hot side. This may have had more potential with early or late day sunlight instead? Focus and sharpness look fine. If you could remove that single strand of different rope from the composition I think it would help. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |
