First storm of the fallby B74AComment: Funny exaggerated POV here. :D Certainly is some wind going on to blow that mane around like that. |

Aftermathby fotomann_foreverComment: Hmmm. Ok. There WAS some wind here at one point maybe. I think some action or motion to indicate wind at the time of capturing the photo is going to go a little farther in scoring higher with viewers/voters in this challenge. JMO of course. Good luck. |

WINDWRAPPED-WINDSWEPTby shutterbug8Comment: If the tops of those flag poles weren't blurry this would come across a little stronger. I guess the whole pole could be moving. Hmmm, hadn't considered that. Unfortunately, the first reaction is that it's blurry and many viewers aren't going to slow down enough to try and see what is happening here (it's VERY windy). Did you do something to alter the sky color in post-processing? Haven't seen that hue before in a natural condition. Hope you were bundled up - it looks COLD! :D Anyway, best of luck to you in the challenge. |

Open Window!by graphicfunkComment: I hope this is a double exposure! Actually, the isolated candle wick gives it away a bit. Cute idea. Good luck. |

Shaped by the East Windby sfaliceComment: Show me the wind in action, not the results. At least to score well in this challenge I think some wind motion or action taking place is needed. JMO. As for the technicals on this image, I like the lines created by the bg hill and the bent trees. The cow takes away a little as it easily draws the eye over and becomes a more dominant subject. The conversion to B/W makes sense given the sky you had to work with, although I think the tonal range is a little short (blacks could be increased). A small dose of additional contrast would also help the image from being flat. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

Expressing the Prevailing Windby pixelpigComment: It's "ok". I think the limited range of movement for the windblown petal is making it more challenging to see "wind" in your photo. Some motion blur via a slower shutter speed would help but would introduce it's own set of problems to overcome (i.e. - the whole flower moving instead of just the petal). All of the above is JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge. |

Wind Whipped Waterby KelliComment: Well, you certainly can tell it was a windy day. :D While it's a nice photo it doesn't jump out and say "look at me". The pier/dock adds a bit of clutter, however it does add context (which is good). Seems that maybe it was a little underexposed and you pushed it up some to bring out the foreground. In doing so the whites in the clouds have blown out. The photo is also quite cold with the heavy blue cast. That may have been your intent, but I think it could stand to be warmed up a little by adjusting the color temperature to a warmer tone. All of the above is JMO of course. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

Serenityby LalliSigComment: It's a wonderful shot - just feels so contrived for this challenge. |

Give Way To The Windby xXxscarletxXxComment: Hmmm. Will a slightly overprocessed image still do well at DPC? Certainly time will tell with this one. It's a neat image (pun not originally intended, but fits) that is well thought out and fun to look at. Given the severity of the umbrellas' condition, your hair should be blowing around a bit more to really sell the concept. Good luck in the challenge. |

Shadow of the Windby noranekoComment: Hey! This is pretty darn cool. :D I really like the shadow. Good job on finding some unblemished sand! The positioning of the main subjects in your photo work quite well. Good luck in the challenge. |
