Windblownby ladyhawk22Comment: Interesting seeing leaves, that the mind knows are in color, in B/W. I can understand your decision (eliminate bg or blown sky) and it works quite well. Your photo is sharp, well focused, and is amazingly deep (focus goes all the to the parking lot). Not sure if this was contrived or not, don't really care, it's a nicely done image. Kudos! Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

windstripesby zaflaboutComment: Very abstract looking. Including the tree gives it some context, otherwise it would difficult to know what you're looking at. While this is interesting, I'm not really sure that it gives the viewer (at least for me) a good sense of wind. It's not really a tangible item here. JMO of course. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

Blizzardby KatheComment: Yep. Certainly windy in this photo. Can't help but wonder what the person is doing out in that weather in a cemetary. Hopefully this isn't disrespectful, but it looks like a photographer "chimping" his last shot. :D Overall, nicely done. Good luck in the challenge. Stay WARM! |

Old Glory Flys At North Wind Tailby dv_rockComment: This is a wee bit subtle (connection to challenge theme) I think. Technically it fits, it's just not "in your face". Tricky getting all of those angled lines to resize correctly without jaggies. Exposure and clarity of this photo came out nice. A polarizing filter would give you a richer blue in the sky. The shot to get here (need a large zoom though) is that vertical flagpole and the multiple colored flags flying on the distant ship. All of the above is JMO of course. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

Morning Breezeby RistyzComment: Nice job on the exposure and capturing the lighting on this. Good choice of aperture selection for bg blur. Wind is evident - which is a good thing. :D Good luck in the challenge. |

Wind Beneath My Wingsby rosiehallComment: Nice freeze frame shot. The bird is well exposed. Hadn't thought of this approach to visualizing wind, but it seems to work ok. Good luck. |

In The Eyes Of Farmer..by njb123Comment: Dang! I would love to give this a really high score. It's nearly there but the focal point is off. His face is a couple of inches out of the sharp focal plane (look at the top of his head where it's tack sharp). Wonderful expression and the colors/tones are great! |

Windblown Widgetby snafflesComment: So that's what a widget looks like? :D Certainly is windy enough - you've got that covered. A couple of things might be holding this down some; 1) it's a little blurry - not quite sharp and well focused enough, 2) needs a little more contrast - as is, it's coming across somewhat flat. Good luck in the challenge. |

snapdragons in the breezeby kiwinickComment: Almost looks like an abstract. Good job of showing wind in your photo. Couple of things that may be holding this back. 1) Little bit overexposed on the highlights. 2) The back wall is distracting - crop down a little and check it out. Good luck in the challenge. |
