Fire Powerby NobodyComment: Clever use of some wax and wick. :D Not sure, something seems a little off. The bg being grey makes the image feel like it needs some contrast or levels adjustment. The way the line (white on edge) on the battery lines up makes it look like a post-processing blunder (it probably wasn't, just looks like it). The "copper top" pattern gives the impression of the photo being noisy. I know, many nitpiks - sorry, just trying to toss out some feedback on initial reaction to this photo. It's a neat concept. Hope it does well for you - good luck. |

The March of the CopperTopsby GatorguyComment: Oh, isn't this fun? All of the elaborate setups we go thru just to get a photo. He-he. This one works pretty well. Nice fade from front to back. Subjects are well positioned overall. Might have wanted to adjust the color temp a little to knock down some of the blue cast. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

Out Of PLaceby xtwizxComment: Classic, but it works! :D The naysayers might ping you for not lining up all the batteries the same way. Good luck in the challenge. |

Grantchester Meadowsby quiet_observationComment: This is one of those photos that if you entered it in some other contest (outside of DPC) it would probably do quite well (depending on the theme of course).
I gave out three 9's for this challenge and this was one of them.
Perhaps because I wasn't that tuned into Pink Floyd (have 'The Wall' at home, but haven't listened to it in MANY years) I took this photo at face value as fitting the challenge and a Pink Floyd theme. Seems that many others didn't connect with it for this challenge. If the challenge was 'Seed', 'Weed', or even 'Bokeh' it probably would have scored near the top.
Reminds a little of the type of photo that ursula might take. Took a peek at your 'favorites' and noticed she wasn't on your list. Check out some of her work, if you like taking the kind of photo that you've entered in this challenge, you'll find some photos of interest in her portfolio.
Anyway, I just wanted to stop by and again, congratulate you on a fine photograph - I enjoyed it. Take care. |

Merging with the shadows, Flickering between the linesby jdannelsComment: I have no idea how this stacks up with Pink Floyd, but this photo is very captivating. As a viewer I'm drawn in and need to look around a while to figure out what else may lay hidden within. Only minor complaint from me is that I wish the eye was sharper. Overall, very well done. Good luck in the challenge. |

Echoes by adineComment: I have no idea if this fits Pink Floyd or not, but the photo and title is a wonderful combination. Great job to see this image and better still in capturing it correctly. Well done! |

The Lunatic is in my Headby escapetoozComment: This is a nice fit for the challenge. Creative and overall well done. Minor complaint is the slight movement of the girls head (upper torso). If she could have been as sharply focused all over as her feet and legs this would be quite stunning. As is, still a nice job. Good luck in the challenge. |

Empty Spacesby shamerComment: Wonderful lighting and DOF. Only thing I'm not sure of is your choice for a blue interior border. Minor, I know. :D Good luck in the challenge. |

Hey you, out there in the cold...by freakin_hilariousComment: Best of the "Hey you..." photo's in this challenge IMO. Very nice job in the composition in placing your subject within the frame. Also like the way you restrained yourself from cropping this to try and "fill the frame" with the primary subject. The space around the man (feeling of emptiness, coldness, large void) is what helps make this image work. Well done! Good luck in the challenge. |
