No match for the Alliesby flavioalimaComment: I recently picked up a wilderness survival game built like this one, at an antique store. I wonder how many will know what this is? Interesting take on the challenge. Good luck to you. |

Pretty good matchby SpizellaComment: What a wonderful find. Good eye to see this and do a nice job of getting the photo. Interesting to look at as this pair is just different enough to keep the viewer entertained. Nice job with the DOF to eliminate the background. Good luck in the challenge. |

"Thought"by holdingtimeComment: This has great potential. I like the background and the positioning of the subject. Perhaps it's the angle, but I wish her right eye (our viewing left) was sharply focused. Looks like the focal plane was at the nose/mouth level and didn't fall back far enough. JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge. |

Andyby MichaelCComment: I like the mystery of the shadows and find myself trying to put the letters together. The lighting works quite nicely here. Well focused with good detail in the face. Overall, well done! Good luck in the challenge. |

Lean on Meby chelsearocksComment: I'm not a large fan of pets in a portrait challenge, although technically there isn't anything that says you can't. :D This is a happy photo with a cute composition. I wish the whites were stronger to complete the B/W tonal scale. JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge. |

81by PedroComment: Fun, inviting image here. Sharp and well detailed with an impression of high contrast with that shirt. Hurts my eyes! :D Overall, nicely done. Good luck in the challenge. |

Helenby MatthewComment: Now this is a unique prop. Haven't seen cotton bolls used before. Interesting. Nice glow and softness (yet sharp) to her face. Good luck in the challenge. |

She lights up the room when she enters.by JewellyComment: Hi Julie. I can't believe I'm seeing this image here in this challenge after you'd posted it and garnered substantial feedback on how to improve it, etc...
Generally, that's considered poor etiquette for challenge entries. Blows the whole anonymity thing and all - plus with all the feedback you've, in essence, collaborated on the creation of this (which is also a no-no, this one's in the rules).
I understand you're pretty new to this. Perhaps I'm only one of a few that've noticed this and will remember it from the forum. :)
Good luck! |

Secretby esdarbyComment: Beautiful eyes. The lips don't seem quite right for the expression, but otherwise nicely done (exposure, lighting, focus, etc...). Good luck in the challenge. |
