Now this is a unique prop. Haven't seen cotton bolls used before. Interesting. Nice glow and softness (yet sharp) to her face. Good luck in the challenge.

Very appealing - tones & texture are very complimentary to the model. The cotton is a nice creative touch, too.

Excellent work. The image is so clear and the tones are very pleasing. I also love the cotton bowls, they remind me of my childhood in the Mississippi delta.

love the lighting and the contrast.. flowers on the right side are probably a bit to much or could have been shorter..

The cotton bolls are unusual but they work here. Could use just a touch more fill light towards the back of her head on the left or even a hair light on that side. Something to break her loose from the BG.

I like this. The cotton is unexpected and unusual as a "prop." I with there a bit more light illuminating her face. 7

Very interesting. If you had rasied the exposure of the face and masked the cotton i think it wouldve made it a little better. I think this should do well.

Nicely composed and captured. I like how the cotton blossoms (?) mimic the subject's eyes. The b&w treatment could be stronger, it's a bit too green tinted for my liking and lacks the dynamic range I think this image could offer, but well done nonetheless.

The way you processed the skin and eyes creeps me out to be blunt. The skin looks like plastic and the eyes almost glow. No offense.

Your skin tone seems a little dark to me. However I really love the portrait. and the cotton (that is cotton right?) is stunning! I love the texture and the light. 8

Beautiful tones! And although the composition has interesting elements, the eyes pull me right back to the heart of the portrait. Well done.

Nice shot. The eyes are what make it special. The button on the shirt is a little distracting. Actually it would be nice to have naked shoulders and perhaps similar shaped (to the cotton(?)) dangley earrings.

Perfect. Composition, B&W range, tone, texture, nice sharp (but not over-sharpened) image. Means nothing, but I gave you a '10' and hope to see this in the top three at the end. I like photos where I can learn (steal) some ideas, this is one of those. Congrats!

the cotton really fights for attention, and gets it...not sure about the significance of it in the image...Helen is nice and sharp
