Took this shot somewhere near Lake Tahoe, a dead tree in the snow. The snow provided a light bounce, illuminating the gnarled bark at the base of the tree. I love the shot, despite the sad lack of quality. I took it, maybe, 5 years ago with my old Olympus Camedia D-360L 1.3MPs! Some of my very early work. I love weather phenomena like halos, sunpillars, and northern lights, and have a small collection of some 'rare' sightings.

I love the color especially, also the movement, curves, composition, contrast, etc, and the mystery or where the heck his lower half went...
Is he taking a picture? You shooting into the mirror? A touch more definition of what he is doing would top it off for me, but maybe I'm being too controlling... :)

Nice! Simple, a touch of soothing color, nice texture in the light area. Looks like a quiet stroll at dawn beside a lake.
The only thing that bothers me is that the streek behind him is not in line with his direction, but I guess not very controlable. :)

Beautiful color, lines, focus, composition....great exposure. Helps to have such a work of art for your subject too, but even that could be poorly shot. Nicely done!

Space-A-Plenty

A couple suggestions: If you'd squated down a bit you would have gotten more field and sky in the top and cropped out the road, cars, etc. Also a little bump in contrast and saturation would make the background come alive.

The color is kinda flat. Even with overcast skies you can usually coax some color by bumping up the saturation in your photo program. Good composition and focus.
