This is a nice shot that would be a great test subject for HDR. If you don't know what I mean, go to this site: //www.hdrsoft.com/
Photomatix offers a free trial version, click on 'Download free trial' to the right of the pic of the Eifel Tower. Above that is 'View examples', click on that to see what this does, including a picture very much like this one! Notice the detail in the sky that your shot could have. You can do this with a regular JPEG, just not as high quality and possibilities.
