I hear what you are saying but... the title is unrelated to the photo itself - if you forget about the movie for a second, looking at this picture in itself makes no sense with the title. It was for that reason that I think you didn't score as highly as you might have.

I'm sorry, can't quite see what you are trying for here - too soft and overexposed, although I suspect that is what you were looking for. Different lighting needed somehow.

Yosemite Valley and El Capitan

Some of the most spectular scenery in the world, and yet it still lacks impact in this photo. I had the same problem myself visiting the valley on a gorgeous summers day - high contrast, pure blue sky and lack of specific interest. Sunrise, sunset, storm onset - these would really have changed the mood significantly and helped make that dramatic scenery so much more exciting. Maybe in B&W?
