I like a lot of things about this shot. The different colors of hardware, the variety, some shine and some are dull. If the subject is the overall texture of the collection as a whole, I think a DOF that has everything equally sharp would work better. In this case, my eye keeps going to the brightest, sharpest item in the very center of the shot. A good shot but the message to me is different than the title suggests.

This is a nice idea and a very difficult subject to shoot. Some of the glare caused by the light on the camera right is causing some distracting highlights and reflections. Also a portion of the spoon seems to disappear into the background in a way the is less that flattering.
