This is quite a cool piece of artwork and I like the processing, but the shot is a little uninteresting to me technically and it would've been better perhaps more neatly lined up. I'd love to hear your thoughts when shooting it perhaps I've missed something.

I'll be honest and say this is a little too abstract and over processed for me personally, and therefore I can't give it a high mark. As for the concept meeting the challenge, the title suggests it could have but it's hard to see it depicted in the image. I'd love to hear your thoughts about the piece regardless and then perhaps it will make more sense.

Hello there! The colours captured in the sky are very nice, but In think more time could have been spent on the crop and composition. This piece has no need to be a full frame shot, best crop out some of that dead space at the bottom and bring the eye towards the light.

Even then, a more interesting sky would have been nicer. Clouds or even stars perhaps?

As it stands you have a pretty good vantage point for future sunset shots. Explore around and see if you can take full advantage for a future shot!

As for meeting the challenge I'm not sure the meaning has been interpreted correctly. Possible a language miscommunication, but not to worry, it happens!

There's a lot of order in this chaos! A nice composition that must've been tricky to toe the line between composed and messy.

This did not deserve to finish bottom, and whilst I didn't rate it too highly the subject is good. I feel it's the composition that let it down, far too close. And then when the eye wanders the horizon is off. Try revisiting the scene if possible and either completely obscuring the background using an f2.8 or similar or composing in a way that isolates the flower more.

What I love about this is that despite the simple subject you came up with a concept that fit the bill and executed it perfectly, with a competent shot. 'Boring' you may say but it is a perfectly taken shot that fits the challenge, so for that alone for me it has to be at least a 6!

One of my top 2! Perfectly respects the challenge parameters, and you've done well to choose a couple of items you presumably had to hand, but that you knew had enough character, colour and beauty in themselves to be able to produce a wonderful shot.

Combined with the great choice of texture with the background, it has all the makings of a winner. Good luck! This is how to approach a challenge like this, I'd love to take a leaf out of your book next time this kind of shoot presents itself (I'm sorry if that pun sounded forced it was literally the only way to express what I needed here 😅)
