Definately the smartest composition of the conest (wink)...I much prefer your lighting and shadows to my version, however I think my model is way cuter. If I could have set up my lighting to cast the shadow, our images would have been identical, however a decided to crop it. Nicely done...7

Great compostion and entry. This captures the power of wind with conviction from the kite, the dusting of sand around his feet and the surf in the back. converting to a B&W (or via desaturation) helps strengthen this image...8

I actually thought that this was a creative interpretation for this challange. The setting sun casting the loooooong shadow spoke volumes to me along with your title. I gave it a 6. I found people focused to much on a "recognizable" landmark rather than how a photographer interpreted the challange. Anything can be a defining landmark to someone (or something) as your picture clearly demonstrates. Good job!
