This is great shot of a great expression. I think you have caught the moment and the challenge really well. I would perhaps have closer cropped on that wonderful expression on the ladies faceâ€Â¦ But, then again, I have never done well in a challengeâ€Â¦ (9)

This is a great shot. Composition is first class – and mouth wateringâ€Â¦ Lighting works, and the candle is a nice touchâ€Â¦ The only flaw – and it's tiny – relates to the reflected glare in the plate. Bounced flash might have gotten rid of that. Good luck (8)

Superb shot. Love the colour and the drama. I really like the composition; it has an emptiness about it, yet it's not sad. It looks like the sun is going down on a glorious day and you can almost see the faces of tired, happy kids after a fun filled dayâ€Â¦ The picture may have faults – but I can't see any (10)â€Â¦

Great shot... My only suggestion here would have been to get closer in on that wonderful cakeâ€Â¦ Use of DOF is great, lighting is very good – too much would have killed the candle flames – and the idea is good. I think the overall picture smacks of fun. (8) I would have scored it ten if I had gotten more of that cake :) Good luckâ€Â¦

It's one of those pictures that makes ones eyes waterâ€Â¦ The shot itself is very well composed and my only gripe is the reflected flash in the door handle. Other than that – it works really well. (8)

This is a really good idea. There are only really two things relating to picture that I can comment on. Firstly, the lighting on the doll seems a little harsh and perhaps the use of bounced flash would have cured thisâ€Â¦ The second one relates to the fact that there is actually a child in the picture. However, this is the memory of the doll and its wish for the child to return – if my interpretation is correct. So - I think - that it doesn't count because of the nature of the image. I wonder if everybody will see it that way :o) It's well thought and well executed and the reflected light under the dolls left eye does look a little like a tear – I wonder, was this intended :o) Overall, I think it's a great shot (8)
