Is it just me or does Mama actually look proud? :o) This is an interesting shot that's technically well put together. The purist may be a little critical of the composition, and perhaps reframing to include both Mama and baby off centre with a little more background would have helped. I think the picture has flaws, but they are not big ones, but having said that, the image does capture the essence of how you wanted the shot to come across. Overall, a very good picture (8)

There are a number of forums running at the moment that ask what is, and how to use, negative space – just point them at your picture; after the voting of course :o) It's a great example (and there are a few in this challenge) of how to use it effectively. The shot is very inventive and it's a wonderful use of lighting and compositionâ€Â¦ (10) After the challenge, I'd love to know if this picture is related to another shot using a similar (or same) glass receptacle?

This is a great idea, but I think that macro shots of this type have to pin sharp to be effective. Other than that, composition and lighting are fine, but the colours tend to merge rather than stand out because of the focus. Sorry to be negative and good luckâ€Â¦

This would have been a first class shot but for one tiny flaw - the glare from the flashâ€Â¦ Perhaps natural light, or bounced flash would have helped. Although the flaw is small, it affects the picture to quite a high degreeâ€Â¦ (4) Hope that doesn't sound to harsh, good luckâ€Â¦

This is a superb effort. I really like the shot; it's an ingenious use of light, and yes, it really does looked kissed by the sun. I can't say anything constructive or helpful; composition is spot on, use of colour and light is outstanding, stop motion is marvellous, focus – oh, why am I going onâ€Â¦ Easy (10)

This is a really superb shot – and a first class example of how to use negative space :o) I really think I'm looking at a possible challenge winner here; it's inventive, technically outstanding and grabs the attention more effectively that being slapped in the face with a particularly large Bloater fishâ€Â¦ I cannot express how good this picture is, if it were a poster, I'd definitely buy itâ€Â¦ (10+++)

This is a mouthwateringly wonderful shot; you have captured the essence of heavy rain fall without spoiling the colour, texture or overall feel. Brilliant idea, top artistic merit and superb composition; overall, SUPERB shotâ€Â¦(10++)
