Fresh & Juicyby aguerraComment: The colours in this shot are inspiringly beautiful. (9) Not too keen on the blue; it takes away from fruits... |

Undressingby HillWalkComment: This is a superb idea, but there are a few things wrong with the shot. There are two main problems. Firstly, the lighting is very low. While this might be intentional - judging by the title - it doesn't actually work. Primarily, this is because of the background. It's difficult to determine where the subject ends and the background starts. This could be improved by choosing a much brighter (or darker) neutral backdrop. The various scratches, dents and dark shadows distract from the already hard to see central subject. Try using a plain backdrop for the shot to remove the distractions. Next, try lighting the subject with a bounced or heavily diffused flash. White paper held at angle in front of flash unit works quite well – but be careful of your ceiling colour, if it isn't white, you'll get a colour cast. This is only my opinion and I hope I haven't caused offenceâ€Â¦ Good luckâ€Â¦ Keep shootingâ€Â¦ |

country cousinsby queen 91Comment: This is an amusing shot and a superb idea, but it lacks something in terms of overall appeal. The composition seems a little too centralised, the path edge is distracting and the colour is a little washed out. I would suggest trying a similar shot with a different background and perhaps trying a number of different angles. Inside, perhaps with a neutral backdropâ€Â¦ Sorry to be so negativeâ€Â¦ |

Alien Landscapeby jenaromComment: As this shot was loading and prior to reading the title – I thought that it looked like an alien landscape – then I smiled when I looked at the titleâ€Â¦ This is superb, but you should have lost the plastic figure- it kills the effectâ€Â¦ I was thinking how alien it looked long before the little plastic monstrosity appeared. Right, having blotted out the plastic thing – this is a really well taken and superbly composed shot. You have achieved you objective with aplomb; first class picture – plastic thing not withstandingâ€Â¦ With little creature (5)â€Â¦ Without plastic thing (10++) â€Â¦ Compromise on creative use the camera and outstanding shooting – (9) |
