Man of Fortuneby cabaComment: Got a nice loud "WOW" out of me that got my sister's attention as she packed her bag for work.
Creative is such a weak word for this. |

The Weddingby NekoNitaComment: This is excellent. If I was doing the voting, this would have been a lot higher up than middle of the pack. I feel the story and emotion ascribed to the inanimate chess peices is superb.
Well done.

Une poupéeby WaitsComment: There is an excellent expression on this girl's face. For the challenge, it is a bit difficult though.
I like this image a lot better for the challenge when I crop to exclude the green background. I'm not so sure when taken on it's own context though.
I find the contrasting purple in her shirt and green in the background to be highly distracting. When removed, the attention moves right back where it belongs - in her face. I also removed a slice from the top to counteract and keep the eyes on the top third.
Just an idea. |

Lunchby james_soComment: May I make an alternative Title suggestion?
Light on Whole Wheat - A healthier choice.
;) Nice idea!
It looks like the butter is being used to hide the grain of the WW bread. I wonder if perhaps you knocked the saturation up as well just to get the egg yolk up there?
Did you know you can increase saturation in specific color channels as well (or at least you can in PS)? This is legal in basic editing.
Check out the tutorial on selective desat using basic editing rules if you want to know what is and is not legal in this technique. |

Simplicityby HungaroComment: I really think this is a good interpretation of the challenge. It is a really great looking flower.
Everyone knows that a flower is not a heavy thing, yet so many people didn't get the connection to the alternative meaning of light.
Sad.
Well done!
Photographically, the only thing I'd like to see different here is the background paper used to shoot this has a little issue with being lifted or something at the back? There is a slight strangeness about the curvature in the shadows at the back back of the flower. |

Balancing Actby paul58Comment: Nice use of light for that shadow line. Well set up.
That's definitely a knife.
I play with my students like this. At around 7 years old, they get a real kick out of anyone balancing anything on the face even if its just for a second! Stick a pen on the end of your chin for a half second and they start calling you a magician.
Fun picture. |

External human beef patch slide.by gharveyComment: Heh. Pretty funny. Gotta work on focus. Also, might try moving in a little closer and making sure your picture is the full size. Make the longest side 640 pixels.
Might have been funnier if you had used a head instead of a hand.... Spare parts.... |

Upon Scrutinyby ssanComment: This is a very interesting picture for what is in it. Aesthetically, I find it lacks a bit.
The interest factor might be piqued a bit by rotating 180 degrees? Not for sure, try it out? |

Floating reflectionby olipallComment: This is incredible. I can't believe so many people were so ho hum about this. To get a clear reflection in a bubble is difficult. To do so with this amount of geometric interest is stunning.
If I had time to vote this past week, this would have received a 10.
Very nice. |

ski monkeyby erschmittComment: When I first saw this pic, the bottom half was missing in my browser page. I think this would be soooo much more effective if the bottom half was sliced off. Looks really cool with the ski in your face.
Nice expression |
