Please remember that there's no text allowed in photos. And you can get better impact if you make sure that the greatest side is 640 pixels. Yours is 438x359.

Photographically, the colors here are ineteresting, but the composition is a bit dull. There's water on the third, but it's not stopped in motion or otherwise captured in any pleasing way.

Your light seems fairly well balanced and the lines seem laid out pretty well too.

Very nice profile. It might have been nice to see the clouds drop into real darkness, which would have made it more low-key and would have rendered that annoying power line invisible.

It's a really great picture.

Oh yeah, and don't forget that the largest side can be 640 pixels, yours is 514x350.

I don't know why, but this looks like a really well-done hand-made model.

Is that sawdust on the seat?

Beautiful craftsmanship btw. My dad tried to build a 3 masted schooner when he was younger out of mahoganny he scooped from crate pallettes (which 35 years ago were often made of better wood than the pine we see today). He only ever got about 1/3 of the way finished, but it's really marvelous to see true craftsmanship.

This is a pretty funky little picture. What a great face and moustache!

Light's a tiny bit harsh on the left. I don't care.

I like that you made a small attempt to include a little bit of dimension on the dark side of the face. That's personal taste, and honestly, I would have liked the tiniest bit more (maybe 5-20 bit depth at the most)

Not exactly low key, but I will say that this would be much better with that flash glare on the left cropped out. I'm happy with the square crop on some of my pictures. This might be slightly improved that way.

A little bit heavy on the darkness here. It looks interesting, but I can't actually see anything. It looks to me like the window of a small boat in the dark with a person's face inside a gently lit cabin. The person's face looks fearful.

I have absolutely no idea if this is correct or not though because there is not enough detail.

If you had cropped in to a square crop or perhaps slightly more landscapish, maybe there would be a bit more detail visible in the face.

There also appears to be some other things in the shadow, but I can't make any of it out, it almost looks like a bat wing or something?

I have my monitor calibrated and at max brightness.

Sorry. (not a 1)

Interesting effect. The way you have lit the head from one source and the body from the other source gives a bit of lop-sided, nearly disembodied look.

Cool.

Ack, where's the water?

The background is great for low-key. The foreground is uhmm.... hrm.
