Love the pic....except for the powerlines.

Great triangular compostion. Nice sense of solitude. Colors are very nice.

This is a nice shot, love the colours, well done.

Good photo...title sucks
03/26/2006 02:40:48 PM
the silhouette is crisp and cool, the sky pleasentely low key, but the lines of the fence somehow spoil it IMHO
03/25/2006 10:43:17 AM
The man and the horse are facing the edge of the frame, which does not work well compositionally; the wires are also spoiling the shot. This could be a cool silhouette shot.

One of the better pictures that I have seen it uptill now, great shot, the bench on the right side is distracting

this is a very nice shot, good colors...

I think I would be completely in love with this photograph with some cropping of the figure. The powerlines especially are distracting to me. I gather from your title that that may be part of your message with this photograph. In my opinion the image would be stronger with a tighter composition or cropping.

Might have considered cropping this tighter to get rid of the cables in the upper left. It may have left enough of the gray clouds to still make the point. Nice composition and emotion otherwise.

I like the composition, the only thing is the power lines top left are a bit distracting. Not bad otherwise.
03/23/2006 03:26:31 AM
well done, suits this challenge well
03/23/2006 01:07:14 AM
yes it's low key. they say allow space in front of the horse to walk to.

Overhead wires? Why? Silhouette, otherwise. DNMC

"An unhappy man has yet to see the beauty of nature". A pretentious title for a below average photograph. Hint, dont try and make a photo something it isnt with a `classy and deep` title.. "Man on Horse" would of sufficed.

Its not low-key either.. sorry.. Keep trying though!!
03/22/2006 01:28:08 PM
Powerlines...maybe you should have focused more on the rider, suggest to move closer next time.
03/22/2006 12:09:10 PM
Very nice profile. It might have been nice to see the clouds drop into real darkness, which would have made it more low-key and would have rendered that annoying power line invisible.

It's a really great picture.

Oh yeah, and don't forget that the largest side can be 640 pixels, yours is 514x350.
