Dangerous Pyro Chaseby SeanachaiComment: I also came back to this one hoping to see more. This was one of the best in the challenge... Any chance of giving us some background story? |

Dual Prowler Conspiracy by DrJOnesComment: Well done as always Martin...
I am sure you are pretty happy about the lack of 1's and 2's this time around.. Controversial or not, people don't seem to be quite so edgy about seeing latex these days? |

daisyby puzzledComment: You do some really nice stuff with backlighting!
Too bad about the left edge being clipped. |

Twisted Silkby mpetersComment: What a fantastic balance of light and color... Just the right amount of asymmetry in the angle of ascent for the stem/bottle too...
Great stuff! |

Anguishby bucketComment: Ok, here's what I would do to fix this picture...
Nothing....
Here's what I would probably play with to try to fix the picture: Grunge filter, dodging the teardrop, uhh not much else.
In the end, I'd probably hit 'revert' and go with what you have here... if I had the good sense in the moment...
It's a very stark, very gritty shot that turned out really great IMHO.
The focus doesn't seem to be at all bad, landing right about where that teardrop is.. The defocused areas appear pretty well balanced. The crop is very strong and edgy... The shot is imperfect in all the right ways... Another victim of narrow minded voters IMHO. |

Distortion in the Windby atomicpixelComment: There's a great tutorial here for correcting slightly misaligned pictures. I think it might have helped.
Go to measuring tool, and draw a line along the line that you wish completely vertical or horizontal.
That will tell you the angle.
Use rotate, arbitrary to rotate by this amount. In some programs, the amount from the measuring tool is entered automatically. I sometimes eyeball it or use different numbers for different effects.
Most photo editing software can do this, not just Photoshop.
Try it, you might like it! I use it a lot! |

Lost Soulby DefyTimeComment: Nice effect. I particularly like how the transparency is not constant throughout her body.
I like the lighting too.
Looks very amateur pro... or is that pro amateur? Certainly two styles in one...
Interesting too is the mirrored lines of the side of her body in the branch of the tree. Message edited by author 2006-05-10 23:42:30. |
