Abandonedby BAMartinComment: Good choice of subject and a good example of surface texture. The image focus seems slightly "soft" and I think it would be better if crisp. |

Electric Algaeby manda4343Comment: Meets texture requirement. Some blurring in this photo doesn't work. Wallpaper shot that isn't very interesting. |

Aged Eleganceby GotchaComment: While this is a beautiful photo, and all of the elements of the shot possess some sort of texture, I feel that it's too busy for this challenge. To fully demonstrate the texture, I would have selected one of the columns, archways or the window. This would have allowed for a closeup look, and opportunity to be more creative in the technique. This photo does capture my imagination, and I wouldn't mind relaxing there for a while, but when I look at it, I am not inclined to consider the texture, but rather it's cool beauty. |

Textures in a Kissby ninaullerComment: The right parts are in focus - great example of an object with texture! I really like the shells themselves but I don't care for the composition. I don't associate a doyley with shells, even if the doyley has texture. Additionally, I'm distracted by the blue background. |

You Pick the Texture?by TracyComment: I'm sorry to say this, but it looks like you wanted to capture a quick shot of stuff you were selling on E-bay. While these items represent texture, this shot doesn't demonstrate photography skills that I use as criteria to rate pictures. The image is not in focus, and your lighting/flash created glare on the objects. |

Arborescenceby DezComment: This looks like Cauliflower that has been in my fridge for about 8 months. :)~ I like your artistic expression in the use of negative. However, most people don't like it. It seems that there are some depth of field issues here. It seems a little blurry, but I think that negative has a tendency to soften images. I do see the general texture. |

No cream cheese?by amnonComment: Perfect! This shows texture in the two definitions that I would normally associate with the word. "Salmon has a mushy texture" and "the multigrain bread has a spongy texture on the sliced side with a coarse texture on the crust". Good lighting and very well focused! This pic also took some use of grey matter in its design, and you even throw in some humor on the title! I LIKE IT ALOT! This could be the only 10 that I score. |

Damn Skippyby spidermanComment: Great example of a creamy texture. However....this is another "wallpaper" shot. I might have spread it on bread with some jam and then shot it. This would have lended more interest to the image. |
