OCHAby ariantoComment: This is an excellent photo, but I wish you were in a different contest. Too literal of an interpretation. Still- very well done. Colors, comp expression etc all good. 8 |

Tales of a Womanby shutterphunkComment: I like the softness, the colors, the DOF, the subject, the lighting. I find the border distracting. I am curious to see if others are looking for a sharper image. For me, this works well. 9. |

The Game Keeperby FalcComment: This could have been even better with some slight light adjustments. While I like the figure portrayed with highlights, the depiction is missing some richness- the lighting is a little too vague. Its still an 8 in my book, though. |

Komodo Dragonby HawkeyeComment: I think that this shot is very well constructed. I like the crop, and flow of the pic. Interesting subject and great color potential. Fatal Flaws: Out of focus. Clarity is the #1 issue in photography. You shot this with a
90-300 mm lens and i would guess that you did not use a tripod. There is a rule of thumb that I will probably misquote but it has to do with the relationship between the focal length and the shutter speed when hand holding a camera. In short you would have reasonably needed to use a 1/90 or faster shutterspeed if you did not use a tripod. Your slow shutterspeed made clarity impossible. I would recommend looking up the correctly stated rule. Its important.
Good luck

A Weathered Sea Captainby susanhComment: Looks like a gol-durned chicken farmer to me; why with all that he's a packin' in that fur o his, he could survive for a week- and the chickens too. |
