| 11/16/2004 08:36:29 AM | Simply Amazing by bruskiComment: Your description of this photo reminded me of things I used to say when I was working in Wisconsin for a summer, years ago. The skies there are so magnificent, and down here in Illinois, I don't get much chance to observe beautiful skies. So when I get the chance like that, I too stop and wonder. I've forgotten how much I enjoy just stopping and being amazed by our skies.
Thanks for the image and the flashback. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 10/12/2004 11:18:57 PM | Unpredictabilityby livingfictionComment: hmm...two different girls? the left image has long hair...I like the tunnel and the multiple exposures bundled together give a sort of explosion feel that matches the left image. I would reshoot this, but alter the second image from the right. It doesn't seem consistent with this explosion to anger transition, and I think it confuses the explosion transition. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 10/12/2004 11:11:43 PM | The Music Loverby bongoComment: honestly, this one takes some time to identify the subject matter, not that this is a bad thing in itself, but it is good only when the 'discovered' subject matter is either abstract (ie, there is no discovery and one looks inward) or surprising and captivating to the viewer. bluntly, this is not surprising or captivating. but you did capture a mood, which is more important and more difficult to create. The problem I have with this is that there are three focal points, the sleeve, the fingers, and the ashtray. Take one of them out by cropping and you have a good shot. LOVE...and I mean LOVE the dark black shadows, keep those up because not a lot of people here do those well. those are really good. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 10/12/2004 11:07:51 PM | Mr Baldyheadby johnmComment: interesting shot, I may have cropped down to just above the collar and focused on the pattern of the hair, but I also enjoy the logo on the shirt. good frame, good b&w balance | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 10/12/2004 11:04:50 PM | Way with wordsby lytaComment: mixed media in art, too confusing, poetry is mixed with photography and it confuses the viewer...(perhaps you want to write, but do not feel okay to publish writing as freely as you do your photography? I may be prying to deep here, but try searching poetry contests online if you haven't already, you might enjoy it! :) maybe looking to deeply, but the point here is that the photograph is neglected because the reading of the writing takes the stage, and if its a surname by which you write, you neglect the writer in you, even worse! |
| 10/12/2004 10:59:52 PM | Eye Lashes by JackoComment: very well done, and fitting to the theme...this is a nice camera too, good background light, nice natural colors, nice texture and contrast of the black | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 10/08/2004 03:55:17 PM | Alien Treeby tasha4pawsComment: a very cool shot, were these natural colors? or did you adjust in post-prod? What kind of tree is that?? nice angle, nice light, but best of this is its color |
| 10/08/2004 03:53:16 PM | Togetherby arpitaComment: a 10. very very nice. interesting angle, very interesting subject matter, your colors here make this a 10, natural lighting I take it? Was this candid? Very nice job |
