ducks.jpgby ltlmschrisssComment: This scene has tons of potential but it's one of those cases where you have to be your own toughest critic (something I find very difficult, by the way:) Bottom line is that IMO it's unacceptably soft... sorry! |

wvafallssize.jpgby ltlmschrisssComment: What a pretty place! Where in WV is that? Good job controlling a difficult exposure. If you had the opportunity and were really interested in going to a lot of trouble for the shot, I think it could be improved by removing the foliage in the foreground. |

valleysize.jpgby ltlmschrisssComment: Lovely composition! I especially like the oak branch that frames the top portion. However for me, the full version is a disappointment compared to the thumbnail. The two main faults in my opinion are the wires and the blown highlights in the forest in the far background. Still a nice composition overall... fall is in the air! |

Rodeo 5by SJCarterComment: More fabulous work! I find it interesting that it appears you set the focus on the bull's eye (heh heh) instead of the cowboy's. Good decision imo. Also an idea about the crop... I might try cropping closer to the bull's tail because in this case that would tend to emphasize the remaining space to the left in front of the bull's face. Just my thought... love these photos! |

STOPby h2Comment: Great use of geometric lines & angles in this photo, even down to the shadow of the lamp post at top right. Nice b/w conversion. I think I would have removed the largest dot of white paint at right center. All in all a very eye grabbing, edgy image conveying unsettledness and nervous energy. Great work. |
