Rideby seeComment: Exposure, focus, and dof are all well executed. Somewhat of a mundane subject IMO but a well-done photo nonetheless. |

Parade dayby DaveSMComment: Nice! Great sense of motion, and the shallow dof and relatively sharp focus on the trumpeter is just right imo. B/W seems a tad flat, although the darks show fine detail and the highlights for the most part aren't blown except on the brass instruments. If mine I would probably have cropped more vertically, losing the busy-ness at the right edge, and especially that paper plate (I think?) that the woman is using to shield her eyes... that element is pretty distracting to me. Congrats on a great photo! |

This Is My Stopby GreetmirComment: I like everything about this including the brick effect. You might consider however that having that effect may cause others to wonder if this is an outdoor painting, not giving you the credit you deserve for the capture. Great work. |

Flyingby BradComment: This really captures a moment... it communicates a bit of childhood whimsy and even exhiliration that most everyone can relate to. I think the b/w works great. |

Foggy Dawn on the Rappahanock Riverby glad2badadComment: Congratulations! You processed this one perfectly - reading your processing steps is inspiring. The border is exactly what was needed. The birds are frozen nicely at 1/100 since they were going away from you instead of across the frame. Man, Barry, everything works perfectly in this shot. Outstanding! and again, congrats! |

Jolly Jumperby aabatkinsonComment: I think this misses the mark by having the subject blurred and the background relatively sharp; it is my understanding that the challenge is to do the opposite. Hope this is a helpful comment.
Looks like she's having a good time though :o) |

Afternoonby Lisaaaaa_Comment: Good effort but in my opinion this doesn't meet the challenge because the background isn't blurred from panning the camera. Also the shot itself lacks a focal point... looking at the gap between the cars I feel the need to merge :o) Hope you find these comments helpful. |
