IMG_2174dpc.jpgby AlexSaberiComment: this shot is very nice. the light is very balanced and the pose is wonderful. The black and white conversion is great. the only thing I can "rip apart" is very little. the glare on his nose and on his hair are a little distracting. the hair light is suppose to be there but it's a little close, remember hair is reflective. the reflection on his nose could be taken out with the healing brush. other than all of that I would just run them through a double high pass sharpen and print. I'm sure the model loved this image |

narra-2-v1.jpgby FirstyComment: very nice comp. I like the use of leading lines. the b&w conversion is done mostly well, though you may lose some shadow due to printing gammet. light source is great and subject matter is decent. subject is done alot that is the only problem you may run into with this image, it's almost overdone. |

Doorby MadMan2kComment: I like this image, though the red color cast isn't doing it for me. I'm sure it was done on purpose but in a color version it's just too wrong to work, mabey put it in a Black and White, or tone down the magenta in the color verion. I think it has a nice strong compostion, and the feeling of the shot is great. |

My christmas ornamentby totiComment: very well done! Christmas Stockings by idnicComment: very well done! the background seperation looks nice and nothing is blown out. the subject matter is very interesting and the posing is done well for two of the three. the left most socks don't look to be very comfortable and it looks like the model may be un an uneven plane from the other two. thats ok though, this image really stands out in this challenge and I think a top ten finish is in order. |

Cookies for Santaby tofarleyComment: lacks in sharpness and the color balance looks very magenta. I like the idea your going for though. mabey don't use sucha reflective background for the table (the single plane) and mabey try lighting from above . the glass has all kinds of glares in it and so does the plate. that is the nature of lighting with christmas lights though. I do like the background but the single orniment is a little distracting. overall an average shot, 5 |

Time For The Holidaysby hokieComment: very nice shot and very well done. I would like to see the crop played with just a little bit, mabey no background just the watch and the snow. either way it's a very well done shot. the lighting is very diffuse and that is nice to see and your lighting ratio is dead on! great job 10 |
