Don't Make Me Fly Over Thereby Keith ManiacComment: Nice title, really fits with this shot as he (she?) seems angry about something. A little too short DOF for my taste as the tail feathers are out of focus but nice job other than that, like this shot. |

Serenityby NitroxComment: Sorry but I am not a big fan of selective desaturation, I can tell you right away I would have scored this even higher if it had been in colour or all in b/w. Anyway, I still like this shot a lot, it lives up to it´s title and it makes me curious what is in store for this little duckling and the vegetation adds to the shot. Good job. |

Dreamyby AmasonComment: I am not one of those that automatically mark down an image for not being tack sharp and in focus, I normally like these kind of shots but this one doesn´t really do anything for me. I mean no offense but it just needs to be more interesting to work, some kind of motion going on or something else than the duck just sitting there. Also the composition is a bit too centered for my taste. Good job though and I like the idea, just not the execution this time, by all means keep up the experimentation. |

Black(bird) and Blueby GeneralEComment: Not bad at all but the backround is a bit distracting at best and since the bird is completely black the backround draws more attention than the bird itself, at least in my opinion. |

At eveningby e301Comment: I like this, great colours and contrast and I like the fact that it is a bit on the dark side. It is however framed a bit too tight for my taste though, you clipped off a bit of the tail feathers, I would have liked to see a slightly wider shot as this seems a bit cramped. Gave it a 7. |

attack positionby JohannesFrankComment: There are a few blown out highlights on the bird and in my opninion just a little too much contrast wich makes the colours a bit odd but good DOF and composition. |

"Birds Beak View"by briphotoComment: Excellent sharpness of the beak but too short of an DOF here in my opinion as the eye is slightly out of focus, I would have wanted to see the whole head in focus. Anyway, good colours and contrast and love the bokeh. |

Red-throated Loon with lunchby jakobsComment: Wow! Pretty amazing capture, nice moment there and I love the frozen moment in time feel of it. I would have given it a 10 but I feel it´s composed a bit too tight towards the right side, I would have wanted to see the whole splash but I gave it a 9 and I don´t give out many of those. Love the sharpness and clarity of it. |

Backyard Beautyby singsunshineComment: I would probably have given this a pretty good score if the image quality hadn´t been so bad as in this shot. The image desperatly needs more contrast and sharpness, there is little detail and the purple fringing is the last nail in the coffin. Looks like you cropped it severely, am I right? Anyway, composition is good so there is at least that. |
