Mother and Daughterby FalcComment: Pretty cool composition and what is this place, some kind of museum? Like this shot but don´t love it, it makes me curious to where they are. |

Holding On for His Sakeby karmatComment: Sheesh, what an depressing image you put up here, very symbolic. I would never hang around with my wife just because of my kids if I didn´t love her, I don´t think I would be doing anybody any favours if that were the case.
Anyway, this image works as it stopped me in my tracks and bummed me out and made me think of all the people that are not as fortunate as me, I now want to go home from work and hug my wife very badly.
I gave you a pretty high score, 8 as the image itself isn´t perfect technically but you made me feel something wich I don´t often when looking at photographs here. |

Gretchen, Mark, Rosie Jack — 3 Generations in Sunset Lightby Bear_MusicComment: I may be wrong here, but the jagged edges around the babies head and her head in particular lead me to believe the backround blur was added later but not really important. Just looks "wrong" somehow.
Anyway, the image is very nice, love the lighting and it´s a very fitting shot for this challenge and as a bonus the image quality is very good, you got a 7 from me. |

Sistersby sigrun_thComment: Nice, I like the colours/contrast/sharpness and their expressions too, excellent candid. However it´s framed a bit too tight for my taste, you both cut off parts of their feet and the top of the older sisters head. |

Bondby TranquilComment: Nice b/w portrait but too shallow DOF IMHO, I am drawn towards the eye to the right and its irritatingly out of focus so this is not as good as it could have been, again IMHO. 6 from me. |

Conjoinedby CorySmithComment: Not bad at all but I couldn´t give this more than 5 for 3 reasons.
1. It´s slanting slightly to the left.
2. The direct flash gives off hideous shadows, if the lighting isnt enough for ambient shooting, try bouncing the flash and if you can´t do that move them somewhere else.
3. The picture is a bit flat to work as a b/w shot, needs more contrast or something to make it pop more off the screen.
Anyway, not bad at all like I said and congratulations on the wedding, this shot is most definately fitting for this challenge. |

river crossingby holdingtimeComment: Not bad at all but the foliage in the foreground is just distracting and doesn´t do anything positive for this image IMHO, next time I would suggest you standing up or moving to the side. Other than that it has a pretty good quality, nice colours sharpness and contrast. |

Outing with grandpaby lastefComment: Not a bad family portrait at all but the sky in the backround is blown out and they are underexposed, next time I would suggest you meter of the sky and use a fill flash and I bet you will like the outcome much more. |

Sibling Rivalry (Sisters)by idnicComment: Not bad at all but the backround is confusing and doesn´t really put the whole scene into context. Perhaps if you would have taken this in the citchen, living room or one of their rooms it would give you a sense of what they were fighting about, as it is it looks pretty posed and unrealistic. Lighting is good though and I like the monotone. |

FAMILY AFFAIRby gtp1164Comment: Not bad at all but your post processing could have been better, it´s awfully flat regarding contrast and the colours are very dull. |
