Studio shoot with my daughters, the way I see them so often.

Converted to b/w, adjusted levels, curves, spot editing to remove distractions, sharpen/blur as needed, crop, save for web.

Thanks so much to all who viewed and commented on this shot. It IS my 2 daughters and yes, I posed them, but in a position that they knew all too well as you can see. It was like asking them to breath! They love being Mom's models, I'm sure you will see them again.

This looks very staged.

Too studio and set up for such a shot. I mean, I don't hate set up shots but this seems way too corney with the plain background, poses, ect. A tighter crop would have helped as well

I like the idea here. The expressions definitely capture a "family" moment. however, the studio background takes away from the "candid" apearance. Perhaps if the girls were in a bedroom it would seem more natural. Good picture though.

Litle comic and realistic I belive. The redish sepia toning doesn´t increase my interest. Seems litle stiff but nice experiment.

Not bad at all but the backround is confusing and doesn´t really put the whole scene into context. Perhaps if you would have taken this in the citchen, living room or one of their rooms it would give you a sense of what they were fighting about, as it is it looks pretty posed and unrealistic. Lighting is good though and I like the monotone.

...I wonder how hard it was getting these two to act that out :)

its kind of actorscene to me in this regard the models are real nice and credible
so nicely played and directed
but what bothering is the composition where the arms get into a clutter in the center
(im not mentioning the overblown shirt;)
too bad but still a real nice image (and opportunity to learn)

B&W works well here, candid rendition of "family".

Now THAT is the most accurate illustration of "family" that I've seen :) :) You did good. Very creative, and great composition!

great lighting and subjects, but this seems a bit contrived and unnatural.

Honestly, there is nothing here to tell me they are sisters. It could be any two girls that modeled for the shot. Also, if I am not smart enough to figure out that 'siblings' means they are supposed to be sisters, you telling me 'sisters' in the title insults my intelligence.

Nice tone maybe bit more contrast.

As a mother of 3 teenage girls, YUP looks familar. This picture doesn't even look staged. Nice composition. Nothing in it to distract.

This seems a tad over posed for my taste. The girl on the left is in focus and has nice contrast - the one on the right is a touch off.
