Sorry but did you send this in the wrong challenge? How is this a portrait? It´s a sports shot and an ok one at that though, would be soo much cooler with some panning going on, it´s just to stagnant as it is now. Just wanted to explain the low score I gave you, no offense intended.

I´d make the subject lose the sunglasses next time, the first thing people look for when seeing another person is their eyes so they have to be good in a photo. When they are absent, like as in this picture, the rest of the photo has to be AWESOME to weigh up against the "no eyes" and sorry but this photo very mediocre so 5 from me.

Nice lighting and backround, somehow not really fond of the ball though, too big (close to the camera) and should not be so just barely out of focus, either totally out of focus or in focus has my vote. Rest of the image I like.
