Oh the Dramaby sjoseph1Comment: Can't really tell what it is... my monitor is a CRT and it is calibrated 20 mins ago. |

Minutes from Pieby lettybComment: But this is just a repeat of an entry from a previous challenge... if it was an improvement of that image, or a clever play, or something, it would have been cool. Plus, a few technical deficiencies... |

Air Freshnikovaby aznymComment: Pretty cool idea, but unfortunately it leaves a lot to be disered in terms of execution :( Noise, vibration of the camera, overexposed face, etc. I would blur the bg too. |

Reaching Outby saintnicholas_25Comment: No sharpness, pretty harsh light (flash?) and questionable composition. And the finger? Why not crop it out? |

This Kissby ejonesComment: I like the cinema-like framing and format here. It does add to the picture and does underscore the composition. Otherwise i would use a slightly shallower depth of field to blur the background, or would move the pair away from the door. |

Highlited X-Ray Frames (office art+multi-image) by MrYuComment: Originally posted by samtrundle: Well, would you look at that, a ribbon at last - for some reason I had a hunch this was yours: I think because of the reference you made to trying to do the multi-image comp in the lead up to voting. Well that, and that distinctive border of yours again :P.
Anyway, what impresses me (and more than a few others by the looks of it) about this is the way you managed the reflections in the waterdrops while maintaining the flurescent background. Would be great if you could post something to explain.
Congrats. |
Naww! The border is from the original image =) I am never putting one on my challenge pics anymore, 'cause even though it's a vanilla border, people for soem reason recognize it =)
The reflection vs color is easy, the original shot didn't have color, just a print of kiwiness' frames refracted in the waterdrops and blurred in the background. Colors are made with 10 hue/sat colorize adjustment layers with gradient masks, exposing 20% of the pic with the right color. I tried actually doing it with hi-lighters, and you can do the color that way easily, but they appear in the drops too and they cover up the image in the bg, so couldn't do it that way.

Family Portraitby _wu_Comment: Just terrible. Every aspect of this photo is bad, with the exception of the models, who are photogenic, just not presented well at all. |
