To me, my focus is drawn towards the book and yet it's out of focus. I don't know I am not an expert. I know you were not trying to focus on the book but perhaps the angle is what is throwing me.

What were you doing to get the children's attention?? Where is this shot taken? Where I come from the School Buses are Yellow, so this doesn't connect with me like it could.
