I'm not sure why, but this piece makes me happy. Maybe it's the reference to coffee...(caffein addict)..maybe it's because It's the first pic to actually fill the challange that I have seen. But it's also pleasing to the eye - the fact that it's NOT completely centered, there are repetitive shapes, wonderful ciaroscurro, and it's a framing piece. Well done.

I'm sorry - but other then the obvious "frame" reference, I'm not sure why you chose this shot. There's nothing to focus on inside the frame. And the frame itself, is not very interesting. No true whites or blacks on the piece with which to make it even a nice lighting excersise.

interesting plant...but it takes away from the subject, which I believe should be the sunset. The object is to "frame" your subject, which it would then do. So try focusing you shot on the background, and not the foreground.

Interesting shot - however the flash landed on one of the flowers, which pulls the focus away from the statuette. I suggest using a soft off-camera lighting source, and not your mounted flash unless going going to bounce it off something else for an ambiant effect.
