All Birds and No Beesby mariomelComment: Can't you give these guys some privacy? How would you feel if someone with a camera shows up when you're in the middle of the act? :) Good catch though. Nice light and dof. 7 Journey |

Spring Tulipsby mjf999Comment: It seemed this picture was meant for the flora challenge and it ended up here by mistake? I tried to leave you a comment without voting but that does not seem possible. As a result i can only give you 5. Wanted to say though that this is a beautiful image. Beautiful colors, composition, and dof. Had it been for the right challenge it would have gotten 8 at least. Cows enjoying summer sunby jbolingComment: It is a nice picture but it seems more a portrait of a fine tree and the cows happen to be incidental. Also lacks a little in contrast. 5 Journey |

Vice Versaby dan_pendletonComment: Oh, how i love to see this action of Can. geese flying away and oink, oink, oink along. You captured it so well! Pleasure to look at. Lighting is perfect. Motion of the wings is perfect. Combination of water and background the perfect foil for the geese. The brownish blurred background makes me go ape. Great shot. 10 Journey |

Michigan Garter Snakeby connieComment: Beautiful close-up. Great lighting. I love his environment with the front leaf has nice detail and those in the back are blurred and hinted at. The curve of the snake makes for a nice composition and the curve shape is echoed in several of the leaves. Good colors. 8 Journey |

Swimming in Lake Arthurby MaverickComment: Nice picture. Love the abstractions of the reflections of the water and of the Cgoose. The goose is well lit. Good composition with lots of negative space giving him room to breathe (and swim). 7 Journey |

Fauna eating Floraby RgoldComment: Killing two birds with one stone, what? :) Great picture. Lovely saturated colors and great detail. Somehow, i have the sensation that this is set-up and you probably starved the snail for a week so that it would just attack the flower :) The snail is good but that flower is just sumptious and a pleasure to look at. 8 Journey |

Bobcatby rcrawfordComment: The bobcat is beautiful (is that the same as a lynx?). One thing is very unfortunate, and you already know it and had no control over it, and that's the busy green plant spouting out of his head. I like his environment and the far background almost looks like a semi-abstract painting. Is it? I have the sensation he is indoors. The light (tungsten?) is too warm overall and rather dark in the top right area 7 Journey |

Branta canadensis (Linnaeus) - Canada Gooseby rj324Comment: Since the bird is the picture, i would have liked to be able to detect his eye more. Not sufficient light on his head, which also makes the white area near his head turn too grey. Also, would have cropped more off the top and given a bit more space at the bottom. His reflections barely makes it or barely does not. It feels a little cramped there. 6 Journey |

New Mexican Roadrunnerby compugoddessComment: For survival reason's the colors of the bird blend in well with his environment. That also makes him harder to photograph. It would have helped a great deal if you had been able to throw the background totally out of focus. This would also made the picture less busy.As it is, part of his head disappears into the background. 5 Journey |
