Nice! I like your use of DOF to have the letter on the bottom out of focus. Adds a nice dimension, and the lighting is very nice.

Nice picture. Your highlights seem a bit overblown in the front of the structure. I think a shorter title might work better, such as 18th Century Iron Furnance. Also, it feels like it needs a little straightening.

Your depth of focus needs to be increased. Narrow your aperture (increase the actual number of your f stop), and that will help this.

I like the idea, but the picture itself is a bit flat. Maybe a bit of an angle or an assymetrical layout on the plate. The dark background is nice because it highlights the lighter coloured food.
