I like the mood of this shot. I think the composition is a bit off though. It seems really heavy on the right. Perhaps a lower angle would have created the illusion of taller lamp posts to even things out. This looks very similar to another entry showing both sides of the street (I will have to look again), which made for a better comp. I do like the pattern of the sidewalk illuminated in this shot. Overall good job.

This is a very interesting shot. I find the bright light over the building (lighthouse maybe) a bit distracting, and I might have chosen to edit out the electric poles, but I really like the creative angle. Very nice. I think it will probably place well.

Adorable. Nice black and white. I think this will do well. The only things distracting are the few kids with fingers in front of their faces and the faces that are half in the shot. I would have recommended a tighter crop to minimize those problems. 8.

This has very nice composition. the expression is perfect. The background is a little distracting because you cant really tell what it is. I think the black and white could have been a little bit less gray. I think this shot will place well. 9 from me.

This is a lovely portrait. I think the composition is great. In other challenges, the second child in the background might be distracting; however, it is not a distraction in the context of the School Days Challenge since you would expect to see more than one child. I think the black and white is displayed perfectly. Her hair fades into the background, but it draws your attention to the face and the great expression exhibited there. I think this entry will place high. 9.
