This photo is alright. I appreciate the lightning capture, I'd never have the patience. It just doesn't pop out to me like other lightning shots I've seen. There's too much brightness that the lightning doesn't accentuate enough. Also, there's too much negative space in the dark clouds. To have the effect you're looking for I think, they could be lighter? 5

The Beacon

Good photo! I love lighthouses, and I like the way the grass is growing in the sand. The only problem I have is the subject. It's sort of obscured by that large tree. I don't know how to improve it, unless there was a different angle to still include the dune or another like it while getting more of the beautiful lighthouse. 6

This is an excellent photo. I really love the way the foremost clouds look. The composition would be cooler if you didn't see the side view of the person, maybe if his arms were outstretched in a V shape or something, of course it was probably a candid shot. 7

This is a nice shot, but the colors are so vibrant, it would look better without the sun and it's surroundings. Good use of off center composition, however I feel like I'm drawn between two subjects. 6.

This shot makes me hungry! The only think I disslike about this shot is that its too white. I thought at first it would do well against a black background, but that would cancel the pristine effect it creates and void the "nice" part of the title. 6
