I haven't seen that many nerds in one place since I toured Microsoft ;) Interested to see how you got them all on there, frosting? I think the lighting could be adjust a little-image seems dark and dull. See if you can post process it and get a much better image, there is potential here with a little rework.

I may be way off here but the main sharp focus seems to be on the wood and not the leaf. This may be in part to the softness those types of leaves (milk weed?) gives off. You have a nice range of texture from the soft leaf to the sharp, hard wood and your positioning seems right on.

I know from the subject that is does have nice texture but difficult to see it here. I wonder if a lower, right across the top of it, angle would work better. Good color.
