Interesting idea. Part of me wants to get rid of hte clamp (jumper cable?) but I wonder how much it would change the image. I like the ray of orange in it. |

Colors could really use a boost of either brightness or contrast, this might also help the water really shine like chrome. Kind of a cool idea, good eye for seeing this. |

A 264x196 pixel image doesn't do 20" wheels any justice. It appears you may have had a problem getting the compression and dimensions right so that you could submit it. I have included the link for submitting images, while it says PhotoShop the same concept can be used with most programs.

Hope this helps...Good luck on future challenges. |

Interesting, the greys seem a little muddy, maybe a little boost in contrast could help that and help see a little more around the center ball. The ball is nicely framed and has good detail...actually probably a bit too much considering how scratched it is. A nice clean crisp one would be preferred. |

I have a problem looking at this, the faucet wants to be the main focus because of it position and size. But because of your depth of field, the main focus is on the candles and the faucet gets in the way. The lighting seems appropriate for the candles and the reflection in the faucet is interesting but too out of focus to add impact. Maybe an angle where you were more in front of the faucet would help move it out of the main line of sight if in fact you wanted more focus on the candles. |

Interesting idea. I love the rainbow effects in it (were you holding something in front of it?) Good scripture too. Depth of field is perfect. |

wish you had used a nice clean cup instead of one that had just been used. It really distracts from the clean image you have. I'm also not quite sure if your feathered border is allowed in basic challenge or even works with this image. Sometime more simple is better. Maybe leave a small hairline border around it but have it in just a bit. Message edited by author 2006-04-19 16:05:15. |

The small amount of bulding to the left is a minor distraction that probably wasn't avoidable. Can't put my finger on it but the image just seems a little blah and doesn't keep my attention very well...not sure what it is. |

Nice idea and I like the way it looks like it punced a hole in the metal but it just doesn't hold my attention very long. |

Man that's some old toe nail clippers lol...sorry that was my first thought of what these where. When thinking chrome I first think shiny, reflective and bright but your image defies that idea and pulls it off. The depth of field nicely pulls you into the image while giving enough attention to the image to keep it pleasant to look at. Good job. |
