Sepia-Tree.jpgby ColeyComment: totally cool tree. I can see why you said it is your favorite.
The sky is a little blown out in spots for me (of course that could just be my monitor too) but I love this image anyway. Message edited by author 2007-01-20 16:48:16. |

Maybe Next Monthby xianartComment: all I have to say is how disgusting. I know pictures are supposed to get a reaction out of people, (I guess you have succeded) but I think this is just uncalled for on a site like this. Call me close minded if you must, just voiceing my distaste.

winter-gull-IMG_4037.jpgby Bear_MusicComment: Nice. Perfect timing to get the good placement between the clouds. While I get to see every sunrise our sunsets here are usually better but too impeded to get a nice shot of.
Well done (like I expected anything else when I saw your name on the thread lol) |

Storm's a Brewingby gdob27Comment: you are right, it is a good photo...without the frame. I like the way you siloutted (I can't spell) the foreground and those clouds are beautiful. At first I thought it was looking over some berms at a beach and those were waves crashing in the background, but now I see it is mostly sky.
If I might suggest some improvements (depending of course on your software choices of course)...in Adobe Photoshop if you go into selective color you can adjust each color on different levels at a time, I have found this is really helpful to get blacks really black and whites really white. It can help with some dull colors too. If you have access to adobe or something like it you may want to check in to that.
If you have other questions I am by far not an expert but would be happy to help, pm me. |

Grrrby TaylorMComment: I bet you'll really be angry and "grrr"ing when you notice this is in the wrong challenge. Don't worry, you weren't the only one.
Seems a little bright on the lighting, might want to try a curves adjustment and see what it does. Also seems a little blurry, not sure if that was part of the "get that camera out of my face" look you were going for. The eyes really pull you in since they have the most color (well other than the pants on the person behind him.) |

Thanksgiving for another day...Lamentations 3:23by sabphotoComment: Originally posted by bigdipper: That looks too much like a sunset to work properly for me. |
This was taken just after the sun broke through the clouds in the morning. I sure hope you did as the site recommends and voted it as it is a legal image and not what you thought it was.
Hate to think I lost points just because someone didn't think it was morning.

cattail_setup_4069_copy.jpgby 2mccsComment: Excellent photo with equally excellent setup. Good job and a huge thank you for telling us how you did it, so many just leave off the details and keep you wondering.

lol I noticed that too, good thing this isn't a picture of 2mccs's carpentry skills. |
