I was impressed with this image gave it a 9, I thought also it would polarise opinion as it is so raw in emotion, the best of luck in finding any that voted1/3 back in their holes attacking my "metal'entry .!!LOL

Feeling Blue?

I think the colour works against this image, Blue is a cld colour with all that it conveys, it also recedes the image into the back ground. A warm colour (red,yellow orange) jumps forward, therefore I feel if your flower had been warm with theblue background it may well have done better,

I like this it is dreamy and soft, I think this is a theme that you could work on,using different articles. At Camera club we have a "muliple" compitition, You have a theme and have up to 6 images (6x4)
on a common mount. I could see something in this style being a real winner.
I think the lighting is great in this one as well

Well I liked this in the challenge and voted an 8 for it, What I liked was it was all up front and filling the frame and it came out to meet you , sharp and the plumage shows up, Down side was the background it did nothing and was a distraction.A closu up on the owners shouler would have been an option as well.
