Focussing on Festivitiesby KonadorComment: I think this was a clever concept, but even the pine cone is too softly focused. Something in the photo needs to be sharp with the surroundings blurred by the shallow depth of field. |

Perfectly Pinkby panynjComment: While this is a great rose photo, it does not seem to have a shallow depth of field |

Mad Tea Partyby JPetraliaXComment: While I like your concept here - your shutterspeed is so slow that it is hard to even see the "cups" in motion. |

The lagoon at 11pmby jasonmccarthyComment: I voted this one lower because I really could not determine what your point of interest was. If it was the sign - then I would rather have seen it at one of the power positions with the rule of thirds, If it was the water - then I would rather not have seen so much of the boardwalk. If it was the objects and fountain in the water and the reflection then I would have preferred that to fill the screen. |

Moon ... waterby LionsitalyComment: Whereas this is a pretty shot, nicely composed with the water tower running up the right thirds area, I would rather have had a bettter picture of the entire scene for a "landscape" photo. |

The Pumpkin Patchby melsterComment: The blurrede bushes in the foreground really pull my eye away from this sweet child and her cart and the pumpkin patch. The composition would be stronger if she was placed in the right hand vertical thirds area. |

Falling For Beautyby Mel34Comment: This shot has too much dynamic range for your camera. You have areas on both the right and the left that all the detail has been washed away by the bright sunlight. The shaded areas don't get enough light for the beauty of the fallen leaves to grab my attention. This type of shot is better on a cloudy day where the sunlight is filtered and there are no deep shadows to fight. |

broken but beautifulby fire_and_iceComment: When I think of landscape - I think of an intimate setting in the woods or by a stream, or a wide vista with mountains. I voted this one lower because I did not feel it met the challenge very well. |

Nightfall Upon Usby kuhlmanComment: Too much empty space in this shot- over half the frame is empty - no pretty vibrant clouds or color in the top part - and the rest of the shot is not strong enough or themed well enough to carry that empty space. |
