the ball is mineby slonkoComment: Good crop. I really like the way the head and shoulders are in focus, but the legs and arms are blurred, obviously because they are in motion. Hope he doesn't fall though, he might bite that tongue off! Way above average shot. |

Protecting The QBby midnightride2Comment: Good composistion. I would give the qb a copy of this so he can see just how much work his defensive guys are doing! One of the best this round. |

Volleyball vs Basketballby siggiComment: Took me a minute to "get it", but once I did I raised the score. I like the concept and the "extra", but as a stand alone shot it is kind of boring. I can't see the expressions on any of the players face and the head sticking up is a bit distracting. |

The Blockby kkd01Comment: Great action capture. I like that I can see the one player through the net without the net being too "in focus" and distracting. Too bad digitals have such DOF cause it would look better if the background was a bit blurred. |

Tug-o-Warby coldaComment: I wish I had thought of this! Great use of B&W (bet the color was too busy!). Like how it makes you look down the line of some very determined faces. Excellent composistion. |

Backlightby Dim7Comment: Just wanted to say, I gave this a 10 and didn't comment because I figured you would have gotten pleny and easily finished in the top 10. A sharper focus may have helped but I like the softer focus myself. The picture is very relaxing and I love the glow the light creates under his body. Only thing I may have done differently would have been the crop. I would have tried a portrait crop with the tips of the wings going from edge to edge. But then again, what do I know? This scored higher than my highest entry. Good job, and better luck on your next entry! |

Palm Effectby zulkefliComment: I gave this a low score because the palm's look like silhouette. |

Clouds Illumed by Lightningby fallenangel_ozComment: The lightning is great and it does backlight the clouds. I gave you a seven but would have scored it higher if you could have cropped the left side and maybe some of the bottom, but I don't know what resolution you had to begin with and if that section (the one with the lightning) couldn't be enlarged it would end up too small. Congrats on the shot though. I still haven't been lucky enough to catch some lightning. Good Luck! |
