The flash here is a little severe - I'm no expert when it comes to flash but if you've got a hot-shoe flash it might be worth trying to bounce it or something - it's too direct as is. I like what you are going with in terms of composition here.

This is a nice shot, but the selective de-sat, is, to be honest somewhat awful. Otherwise a nice capture - have you tried cropping in a little closer around the couple?

This is nicely composed, though it's a shame a) his face isn't turned at least slightly to the side and b) he's wearing earphones. Still I like this.

I thought I'd actually have a look at some of your photos after all that...

I like this a lot, certainly it's one of the better entries in the challenge. While it might not have told a story to the same extent (and thus might not have done as well), I think this may have been better aesthetically without the glass. With or without its a really great shot.

Disclaimer: *I didn't vote* (the apple challenge just didn't appeal to me). I'd say the reason you didn't do brilliantly - i.e the fifteen ones would have come from people who were sick of seeing the margritte imitiations. There were quite a few of them in this challenge, and there have been quite a few of them in other challenges in this site.

While not very original, it was a very well done shot in the technical sense

This is a really terrific shot - definately one of my favourites of the challenge. Call it a strange suggestion if you will, but I think a pair of high heels would make an interesting change in the dynamic of this photo.
