A Moral Conflict

You would have got a ten from me! But then again, I am male.

The lighting here is wonderful, and it definately evokes conflict. (Note resisting the urge to comment on the breasts).

Hue shift here seems a little obvious... but its a nicely composed shot.

Golden Corn

Well you got close.... unfortunately there isn't much else about this that appeals to me - there is a little too much mess on the corn for this to work I think. But good display of technical skill to get this close and in focus.

Well at least the lemon isn't the focal point of this shot :). I'm sorry but besides that I can find little about this that interests me, it just looks like a snapshot of dessert. It is yellow though !

This is a nice idea, and not a bad shot - maybe a slower shutter in future - I would have preferred more motion blur on the train. 5.

I know you were trying something different here.... but the impact of this photo was not created by the colour yellow - the impact is created by the red.

As for the technical merits of the photo - I like the DOF here, but there are a bunch of distracting splotches on the background that you should look to remove before shooting.

This is a nice approach, the silhouette is great - terrific lighting. I think you would do a little better in this particular challenge if the lemons were a little more vibrant, as it is the colour yellow isn't quite creating the impact of the photo. 6

Now that is one stunning flower macro, DOF is fantastic. Border is not (the yellow is just not working). Now normally I'd look at a flower macro and think to myself "that person knows how to use their camera and has found themselves a pretty flower.... so what ? But, thanks to the aforementioned terrific DOF this image transcends that typical sentiment and earns you a big fat 10.

Great work.

7 Petals of White

Comment:
Im surprised at the low score here, I thought this would be a relatively dpc safe image. Personally I think the slinky shot was better, but this is a really terrific hi-key image.

Haven't read the comments below, but at a guess I'd say the issue was that people had trouble discerning seven petals. I gave this a 7 during voting, but at a second glance I'd probably bump that up one.
