Interesting use of DOF though I'm not sure if you want the centre of focus to be the palm or the fingers. If it's the fingers then they should have been in focus

Do you have a powerful zoom lens on your camera or did you just get pretty close to those animals? It's a shame that other people on the site can't appreciate wildlife like people from northern Canada and other forested areas.
