This is a really nice composition. Love the huge "canvas" of grass with the three little figures at the bottom. Wish there was a little more focus on the players though. Good luck with the challenge.

Needs just a tad more DOF. Seems to have really captured the moment and the contrasts between the stark white goal netting and the absolute black sky behind is great. Would have rated it higher except for the DOF point. Congratulations. Good luck with the challenge.

I don't understand ... These firemen have "Girlie legs"? :-) Actually, I really like the image. It has bright color contrasts, action, perspective, pretty good focus - at least on the central area of interest, and I really like how everything gets hazier as you move back further into the image (obviously due to the mist and spray in the air). And, it's different than everything else. Congratulations and good luck in the challenge.

Two images, this one and "Bong Hit", are both similar in that the subject, "smoke", is inside. Both, to me, have the same shortcoming: the smoke is very much reduced to a lesser subject position by their container - and to me, the main subject should be "smoke" in order to make it more effective as a "smoke" entry. But, that's just my way of looking at it. Good luck in the challenge.

We can only hope they burn each other up and can't show up in future challenges! :-) Just kidding. The could, as with "Mirrors", be in a really great image. Problem with this image (other than "them") is that it's about them and the sight gag, not about smoke - even though it exists. I rated lots of other people lower for the same reason. Good luck with the challenge.

My problem with images like this in a challenge on "smoke" is that the image is all about fire. Not smoke - even though some is obviously there. But, that's just me. Good luck with the challenge.

This seems more like the strange creature in the bottom right than it does any smoke in the rest of the image. To me the smoke needs to be the main subject and really should have more about it that attracts the attention and keeps it. That's just my opinion. Good luck with the challenge.

Comparatively little smoke, and not very esthetically pleasing to me. Understand the word tie in, but that's not what makes an image really attractive. Good luck with the challenge.
